TEK announces ISO 9001-2010 accreditation for its military seats

TEK Seating is proud to announce it has gained ISO 9001-2010 accreditation - moving its quality assurance systems forward to support the development of military seating solutions. The process was very straightforward, demonstrating our ability to successfully provide our military customers with high quality products and after-sales service support.

We moved into the military sector around four years ago, developing bespoke solutions for the UK MOD and vehicle integrators working with major primes and MIRA. We are proud to offer a variety of seats which meet the demanding environments our armed forces are expected to operate in.

TEK will soon be launching Blast Protector™ - a blast attenuating seating system designed for most types of military vehicle. A specially developed mount system will enable driver, commander and crew seating to mitigate the effects of IEDs, helping to reduce compression rates in the lower pelvis from around 60g to below 20g within 2 milliseconds. This state-of-the-art technology brings together experience, expertise and requirements of some of the leading authorities in the area of blast protection.
