As the dust settles on the hottest Hillhead show on record, the 2026 event in Buxton was hailed a success, with the largest show in the event's 44-year history hosting over 627 exhibitors and welcoming an estimated 20,000 visitors. The UK’s largest quarrying, construction and recycling show featured live machinery trials, zero-emission technologies and critical AI fleet management.
‘It was certainly hot in the quarry’, commented Charlie Harding, TEK Seating’s Operations Director, ‘but it was still great to catch up with our suppliers, chat to visitors about our KAB seat range and make the most of some excellent quality leads.’
A major draw at the show overall was the four working demonstration areas. Visitors witnessed a newly curated Quarry Face demonstration programme giving engineers rare side-by-side comparisons of equipment performance in a working quarry.
The event also focused on the shift toward cleaner energy with major attractions which included fully electric equipment, battery-powered excavators and intelligent machine control tools designed to make sites smarter and safer.
